How to Make A LOT of Money From Home

Everybody wants to make money from home. A little extra jingle in your pocket never hurt. Anybody with a home can do what is listed below. Kids can make money from these too! Stay tuned for part 2!

There are tons of ways to make from home. We live in a world where people don’t want the 9-5 jobs anymore. We want luxury of staying at home and making money. You may be aware of ways you can make money from home, but I’m going to share even more ways that you would never think about… until now.

Rent your house

Ever stayed in a vacation home?? If you are away for a vacation, rent your home out. Make it cheaper than hotels, set rules and regulations. Pets, no pets, smoking, or nonsmoking, lock away your valuables or take them with you… Charge enough help with rent or mortgage. You could easily make $300-$500 or more if your home is a destination home.

Rent your room or barn

If you have a rec room or a barn or another property that is big enough and nice enough to throw a party, rent it out! This is super easy and requires little effort. Place ads online and in the paper.

Rent to film and TV companies

How cool would it be to see your house in a movie or on TV??! It’s an easy way to make money and get you out of the house.

Rent your driveway

You can rent it out to someone who has a boat or a vehicle that doesn’t have room, or if you live in a populated area, rent it out as a parking space.

Run a bed and breakfast

The elderly especially appreciate this. They’re not around anymore and people love them. If you have a larger home and don’t mind the task, ask for $100/night. With any of the above recommendations you must make sure it is okay in your city limits.

Rent your pool

People love pool parties! I know I do. Have a contract that the host signs stating you are not responsible for any accidents on their behalf.

Host an exchange student

I never knew you could make money from this! You provide the student with a room, meals and transport, basically another kid. As a host parent, you teach him or her about the culture and how to get around. Not all programs pay for a host family, so do your research.

Online Surveys

Super easy way to make some extra cash. Look up legit surveys that pay. They will ask you a ton of questions when you sign up, but that’s only so they know what to surveys you’d be interested in.

Test products

There are companies that need people to test and review their products before they are launched or just recently launched. Give your honest opinion because they want to know what they can improve… for you! And if you don’t like that product, give it away. You get free stuff and easy money.

Review products

Hello YouTube, blogs and social media. Test, write, get paid. The more of a  following you have, more companies will reach out to you. You can check out productreview.com.au to get a start.

Family day care

Your whole family can get involved in this. Growing up, I spent a good part of my life in a family day care. You can join a group to get you started or check out Care.com. Definitely do your research and have a background check done for security of your clients.

Garage sale

Easy right? I can’t tell you how many yard/garage sales I had. Clean your stuff, organize it, make it look pretty so it attracts people.

Sell fruit and veggies

Grow a little garden and sell them. Become a vendor at your local fair or flea market.

Embroider

If there was an embroider near me, I would be their #1 customer. This is more popular than what people think. Offer a good price and your business can really evolve over time. Embroider on bags, uniforms, towels, clothes, etc. Offer businesses, schools, and large groups a discount. Call schools and businesses and let them know your business is available. Make flyers, advertise, sell on Etsy (and let me know because I love embroidery on Etsy).

Restore furniture

It’s a beautiful thing to see a beat up piece become beautiful again and seeing the owner’s or new owner’s face light up. You can start out by buying pieces at flea markets, restore or refinish them, and then sell them. If you do a great job, offer to restore pieces people already have.

Create a blog

Yes, you can make money from doing what I’m doing. You can write about anything you want. You can set up for free through WordPress.com or Blogger.com. You make money from, ads, sponsors, affiliate marketing, selling products and donations. The more followers, the more money.

Become an editor

If you enjoy English, this is great! Every business or college student can use an editor. Edit the newspaper, newsletters, books, magazines, blogs, websites and school assignments. You really have to be good at language arts to succeed. Make flyers and post them around town, campus and social media.

Make a dirt bike track

There’s not enough of these. My grandma’s neighbor built one when we were younger and all the neighborhood kids would ride it all the time. If you have land that you’re not doing anything with, this could be a great investment. You can rent it out for races and parties and you would have the coolest place in town.

Party house

Everybody will LOVE it. It’s like booking a hall or a recreation building, but more comfortable. The partiers will have their own kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, whatever you provide them; the partiers will provide you with some serious cash. Bonus if you live near a college. Just make sure to take extra precautions and have a set contract.

Babysit

Pretty simple. You can babysit from your home or from that family’s. Charge a decent amount and go the extra mile to be the best babysitter ever.

That’s a lot of ideas!! I’m coming up with even more! Stay tuned for a part 2! I hope this helps and if you do any of these, let me know!

Great list of ideas! Another one I would like to add is Direct Sales companies. It’s not everyone’s thing, but if you already love a product, and you have social media outlets already, it can be great! I’m with Jamberry, a nail care company, and I originally joined to get a great discount on nail art products. People started to notice my pretty nails, so I just refer them to my site. Easy as that!

Great ideas! Some I’ve done as well. If I had a barn, I’d totally rent it out as a venue for parties 💕

Great list. I think a lot of these could be really fun to get into, and even better if you can gain an income from them at the same time. I always love to stop at the little fruit and veggie stands I come across!
